Unanswered surveys

We're at 92% complete on surveys, there are about 20 physical and 20 digital backers who have yet to fill out their surveys so far.

Please make sure you do this so you can you name in the thank you section and I can make sure we order enough of your variants when we go to print!

If you haven't done your survey, please do so soon, if you haven't received it, please message me and we can sort it out!

Stake is nominated for a Ringo!

Hello awesome backers!

We recently got some great news about our little series Stake. We were nominated for a Ringo Award:

“The Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards is an annual celebration of the creativity, skill and fun of comics. The Ringo Awards recognize outstanding achievements in over 20 categories, and are the only industry awards nominated by fans and pros alike, with final voting by the comic professional community. Launched in 2017, the awards ceremony is held annually at the Baltimore Comic-Con. Further details are available at www.ringoawards.com.”

I’m really proud of Joel and Francesca for this. And also our fans! The thing about this nomination is that a large portion of the deciding factor is decided by a fan ballots.

The awards are announced at Baltimore Comic Con on October 29th. The final vote belongs to industry professionals, so if that describes you, please vote here!

Campaign Swag

While Francesca continues to work on pages, I got some of the stretch goal items in and they look great!

That's the car sticker, which I fully expect every one of you to put on your cars and send me pictures, and the new magnet! I already put the magnet on my fridge with the other 3 Stake magnets and it looks awesome!

Ancient City Comic Con

Francesca and I will be at Ancient City Comic this weekend! Come see us if you're anywhere near St Augustine, FL!

Joining us will be Francesca's husband, and my friend Jonathan Hedrick who happens to have a Kickstarter campaign going that might interest you...

Capable #1-5

Jonathan has less than a week to go on issues 1-5 of his series Capable:

Good day Stakers!

I'm happy to say that the funds have come in and we're working away on finishing the pages and all the fun back office stuff.

Surveys

I finished creating all the surveys in BackerKit, I'm just waiting for the team over there to review and approve me sending them out. Should be very soon. We will give you about a month to complete them so we can get the books off to print!

Special Cover Added from Tiffany Reed and Mad Pirate Comics!

It's always great to get to work with friends again :) Mad Pirate Comics and Tiffany Reed (formerly Groves). We're making her cover for Stake Presents: Jessamy #1 available to you as an add-on in trade dress and black and white virgin editions.

The cover captures Jessamy's pirate look from her trip across the Atlantic in issue 1!

Mad Pirate will also have very limited foils and metals available:

ATTENTION: Read this if you backed for Eranga's Connecting Covers!

Here are the instructions to enter for Eranga's original sketches!

The Rules!

1) You MUST have backed the project and gotten the Connected Pamphlets tier!  This was the tier that had Eranga’s connecting covers for all three issues - or the Add-On of the connecting set.

2) You MUST e-mail Proof of Purchase to [email protected] BEFORE August 16th at 5pm EST!  The form of acceptable Proof of Purchase is pictured below (or similar screenshot from the campaign). Chris Bacon will reply if he can’t tell and also to confirm he got your entry. 

3) We will have a live drawing on the 4C Comics Tuesday Night Live Show next Tuesday, August 16th at 7pm EST with both David and Eranga. One wheel spin for each sketch!

That’s it guys!  I look forward to receiving the entries!

We can't do this without you!

Thanks to all of you amazing backers, another campaign has successfully funded!

We managed to not only eclipse the previous backer count, but had 70(!) backers more than last time!

I can't wait to get these books assembled and sent to print, but first a few things...

What's next?

• Kickstarter has collected funds, but does not distribute them for a few weeks, so on that...we wait.
• We will be generating the BackerKit surveys over the next week or so, be on the lookout for updates regarding this.
• We will send out instructions on entering to win the Eranga D original art for those of you who selected his connecting cover set.

Errored Cards

There are a handful errored credit cards that will need to be fixed to make sure those backers get their rewards. Kickstarter should have sent a notice of card failure, but I will also reach out just to make sure everyone knows and has a chance to fix any issues.
